Additional Ways to Serve - Would you like to contribute, yet are unable to be a Cabin Leader or a part of our Summer Crew? Often we are asked about Crestview’s needs and how groups or individuals can help. Crestview’s 50 acre campus is an amazing blessing, yet always in need of updates, maintenance and repairs. Listed below are some ways we have seen “Friends of Crestview” bring their gifts, skills and resources to help us stay ahead of the many needs…
- Helping to raise funds at your church to sponsor kids who need financial assistance to get to camp.
- Organize a prayer team to pray for campers from your church- Maybe even sending encouragement notes to them while at camp.
- Offering to help your church transport campers to and from camp.
- Plan a “Work and Worship” Retreat - You can call and inquire about scheduling a “Work and Worship Retreat” for your ministry group. With a group of willing hands and skills, groups have come and worked during the days and had their meeting times in the evenings for little or no cost to them for food and housing.
- Have Crestview host your church’s next event, banquet and/or retreat - One of the best and easiest ways for your church to support the mission of Crestview is let us host your next event. Many churches, districts and ministry groups spend their money using other camps, conference centers or hotels. When you bring your events to Crestview, you are providing much needed revenue that supports our year-round operation.
- Enlisting Volunteer Workers - Crestview welcomes skilled laborers who are willing to donate time and/or materials to help us build, repair and maintain our facilities. We have regular needs for people willing to donate their time and skills in areas such as PAINTING, LANDSCAPING, TRENCHING, CONSTRUCTION, FINISH WORK, TREE CARE, CONCRETE, BLACKTOP, ELECTRICAL, CARPET, FLOORS, ROOFING and PLUMBING.
- Giving regularly to the Crestview Capital Improvement Fund (CCIF) - Currently we are only raising just over 25% of our fundraising goal each year. Friends and churches can prayerfully consider monthly contributions that help put a foundation of support under this ministry so that it can be an “…inheritance for our children’s children” (Proverbs 13:22).
- Praying for Staff, Volunteers and Campers - It would be a privilege to know that you and many others from around the region are praying for the staff and guests of Crestview. Our prayer is that God would meet people on this campus in amazing, yet personal ways as they rest, retreat, learn, worship and connect with others while, staying on the mountaintop. Also, we would invite your prayers for our staff volunteers, who put vision into action on behalf of so many lives.
